Con Be Yourself Tonight, de 1985, Eurythmics entrega una de sus obras maestras y protagoniza un espectacular giro estilístico. En este trabajo el dúo se aleja del synth-pop más frío de sus inicios para abrazar de lleno la música soul y el R&B. El resultado es un disco cálido, orgánico y lleno de un "groove" irresistible.
La producción del álbum, a cargo del propio Dave Stewart, es exquisita y cuenta con una banda de músicos excepcionales. La sección de vientos y los coros de soul son los grandes protagonistas, creando un sonido que es un homenaje a la música de sellos como Stax.
