"Walk Between Worlds" es el decomoctavo álbum de estudio de la banda escocesa de rock Simple Minds. Publicado el 2 de febrero de 2018 por el sello BMG y con producción de Simple Minds junto a Andy Wright y Gavin Goldberg, quienes ya trabajaron para la banda en su álbum "Big Music", considerado por parte de la crítica como uno de sus mejores trabajos. El álbum consta de ocho nuevos temas más tres bonus tracks incluídos en su versión de lujo, uno de ellos en directo.

Para este álbum, la banda presenta importantes cambios en su formación. Por un lado, el teclista Andy Gillespie ya no está presente en los créditos, tras abandonar el grupo en 2017. El pianista Peter-John Vettese también regresa al grupo para colaborar en varias canciones, al igual que Cherisse Osei, quien toca en tres de los temas del álbum y que será quien interprete la batería en la próxima gira de Simple Minds.

"Walk Between Worlds" está dividido en dos partes. En la primera, temas como "Summer" y "The Signal and The Noise" nos traen sonidos guitarreros y ritmos bailables. En la segunda, nos presentan ambientes más teatrales, con grandes orquestaciones grabadas en los estudios Abbey Road.

El tema que abre el álbum, "Magic", fue también su primer sencillo, lanzado el 4 de enero de 2018. La canción fue inicialmente grabada para el álbum de 2005 "Black & White" con el título de "Fortune Teller", aunque finalmente no fue incluída. Posteriormente, pensaron añadirla a "Graffiti Soul" (2009), pero igualmente desecharon la idea. Ahora vuelvan a grabarlo y renombrarlo para incluírlo en este nuevo álbum.

"The Signal and the Noise" es el segundo sencillo, publicado el 11 de enero de 2018, en el que dan preferencia al solo de guitarra. Fue compuesta por Owen Parker con letras de Jim Kerr.

"Sense of Discovery", el tercer sencillo, apareció el 25 de enero de 2018. En esta ocasión, una voz de narrador (supuestamente de edad avanzada) transmite su experiencia y sabiduría a un discípulo más joven.

En "Barrowland Star", el guitarrista Charlie Burchill nos ofrece un soberbio solo que recuerda a los mejores trabajos de la banda. El título hace referencia a un icónico local de baile situado en East End, en Glasgow, donde Simple Minds ha ofrecido algunas de sus mejores actuaciones.

La portada del álbum fue diseñada por el artista brasileño Heitor Magno, especializado el realizar montajes surrealistas. En la imagen se pretende mostrar la metamorfosis de la banda a través de la imagen del vocalista Jim Kerr.
