"Ring Ring" es el título del primer álbum en la discografía de ABBA, lanzado el 26 de marzo de 1973 bajo el sello Polar y con producción de Benny Andersson y Björn Ulvaeus.Aunque el lanzamiento inicial se realizó en Suecia, el rápido éxito de las canciones del grupo hizo que pronto se lanzaran diferentes versiones internacionales en países como Alemania Occidental, Australia o México, entre otros.
El álbum tuvo gran repercusión, encabezando las listas en Bélgica y con importantes éxitos en otros países europeos.
El primer sencillo de ABBA fue "People Need Love", grabado en marzo de 1972, cuando por entonces el cuarteto era conocido como 'Björn & Benny, Agnetha & Anni-Frid'. Fue escrita y compuesta por los dos miembros masculinos de la banda, Benny Andersson y Björn Ulvaeus y, aunque no alcanzó un gran éxito a nivel mundial, sí que nos permite apreciar el estilo que ABBA seguiría a lo largo de su historia. Es una balada que nos habla de todo aquello que las personas pueden ofrecerse unas a otras para hacer sus vidas más fáciles y crear un mundo mejor.
"He Is Your Brother" continuó con el estilo lírico de "People Need Love", lanzándose como sencillo el 1 de noviembre de 1972.
El tema "Ring Ring" fue el elegido como tema principal del álbum del mismo título. Se publicó como el 14 de febrero de 1973 y sirvió para dar a conocer al grupo sueco en la mayoría de países europeos. Escrita en sueco por Benny Andersson y Björn Ulvaeus, junto con su manager Stig Anderson y titulada originalmente en sueco como "Ring Ring (Bara du slog en signal)", el sencillo alcanzó el primer puesto en las listas suecas. El tema trata de un amante que espera solo junto al teléfono.
