Este álbum de 1966 es la banda sonora de la película del mismo nombre y una obra que, pese a seguir la fórmula de Hollywood, presenta algunos destellos de calidad. Una obra singular en la discografía de Elvis Presley 'Spinout' es un trabajo que de las canciones de la película, incluye varios bonus tracks de una calidad muy superior.
La parte de la banda sonora es, como era habitual, irregular. Sin embargo, las tres canciones extra grabadas en una sesión de estudio en Nashville son excelentes. Entre ellas destaca la magnífica "Tomorrow Is a Long Time", una versión de una canción de Bob Dylan que Elvis Presley interpreta con una sensibilidad exquisita.
También encontramos el tema de blues "I'll Remember You". Estas canciones demuestran que, cuando se le daba material de calidad, el artista seguía siendo un intérprete extraordinario.
'Spinout' es un álbum que vale la pena principalmente por sus bonus tracks. Son la prueba de que, pese a Hollywood, el verdadero músico seguía ahí, esperando su oportunidad para volver a brillar.
