El vigésimotercer álbum de estudio en la carrera musical de David Bowie lleva por título "Reality" y fue lanzado al mercado el 15 de septiembre de 2003 bajo el sello ISO Records, conjuntamente con Columbia Records. El álbum, basado en el rock, fue coproducido por el propio Bowie junto a Tony Visconti, colaborador habitual del músico británico.

Grabado entre enero y mayo de 2003 a caballo entre el estudio casero de Bowie, los neoyorquinos Looking Glass Studios y el estudio doméstico de Mike Garson en California, fue escrito tras la finalización de todo el proceso de producción de su anterior trabajo, "Heathen", publicado en 2002.

El álbum, con once temas, consta principalmente de composiciones originales, aunque también incluye dos canciones escritas por otros artistas, "Pablo Picasso" de Modern Lovers y "Try Some, Buy Some" de George Harrison.

El álbum recibió críticas positivas por parte de los medios especializados. La gira "A Reality Tour" llevó al músico a recorrer diferentes ciudades durante dos años en la que sería la última gira de Bowie.
